Acupuncture and Herbal Medicine
Chinese medicine is a 2000 year old medical system which encompasses
Gynecology as a specialty. Traditional Chinese medicine includes
the use of acupuncture and Chinese herbal medicine. This system
of medicine is particularly useful for women’s health and
is frequently used to treat such conditions as irregular and painful
periods, premenstrual syndrome, menstrual migraines and other headaches,
mood swings, infertility, addictive, and mental/emotional problems.
Chinese herbal medicine incorporates a detailed, professional diagnostic
and treatment system that features the use of herbal formulas as
opposed to single herbs. The reason for using multiple herbs is
to increase the complexity of the conditions that can be treated
while reducing the risks of side effects or problems associated
with any one herb. The Chinese medicinals used by Holly Thompson
have passed stringent tests for purity and authenticity and are
processed by companies based in the USA.
Acupuncture involves the insertion of very fine needles into specific
points in the body which influences the flow of energy within the
body. Acupuncture can be used to alleviate pain from headaches as
well as muscular, joint, tendon, ligament, and bone pain of all
types. Other internal conditions can be treated as well. Many people
are surprised to find that acupuncture is not painful and can be
deeply relaxing
When a woman comes in for a Chinese medical treatment, Holly discusses
the specific reason for treatment as well her general health and
past medical history. She explains how one’s condition is
viewed by Chinese medicine and then formulates a treatment strategy.
This may include a Chinese herbal formula, acupuncture and diet
and lifestyle suggestions. The treatment plan is tailored to the
individual’s condition as well as her lifestyle and preferences.

Holly became interested in Chinese medicine after acupuncture was
the only thing that helped her overcome severe and frequent migraine
headaches. Chinese medicine gave Holly her life back and produced
many positive health changes for her. She was inspired by her experience
and wanted to be able to help others experience similar positive
life changes too.
